Hello friends!
Well, we’ve made it through March! For me, April has always been a sign of change and looking forward to whats to come. Spring weather is hopefully here to stay, school will be coming to an end for many, and fun summer vacations are near. This year is really no different for me. The end of March marks one month and some change until Kevin comes home and we can put this deployment behind us. It has been such a roller coaster ride, honestly. The beginning was so very difficult. After about three weeks, I started to get used to it. Being home alone every night almost felt normal. Then the dogs got sick and I was very aware that I was by myself again. Now that his return is so close, things have, strangely enough, gotten harder. The anticipation is so great, that his homecoming is literally all I can think about. It makes for long days, especially when he’s flying and we can’t talk. I’m hoping it will go by quickly, but in the meantime, all I can do is stay busy and look forward. We are so looking forward to all the fun things we’re going to get to do together this summer, including a trip to Colorado in July!
I really can’t believe how quickly this time has gone by overall. Not that I’m complaining. It has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Growing up, I always said I could NEVER be a military wife. I could NEVER deal with him being gone so much. But what I’ve learned is that I actually can. You really don’t know what you’re capable of until you jump in head first. And ultimately, you do whatever you have to for the ones you love most. I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything, but I surely can’t wait for him to come home!

Have I mentioned that I have a romper obsession? Because I totally do haha. I could never wear them to work so I stopped buying them, but now that I’m not working anymore, I’m buying all the rompers. They are so comfortable and easy. Perfect for when you can’t/don’t want to take the time to put together an outfit. Just throw on your shoes and go! I especially love this one because of the light, breezy fabric and the open back detail. I’m usually not a big fan of open back things, but this one doesn’t show a lot of skin, plus it’s super cute with a little lacey bralette underneath. This romper also comes in white for all you brides-to-be out there! How cute would this be for a bridal shower or even the honeymoon? The heeled mule is one of my favorite shoe styles this year. These are so comfy and they can easily be dressed up or down. They’re super cute with a pair of cropped jeans. <3 This bag tho. I have been wanting a circle bag for a while, but I didn’t really want one that’s completely made of straw. For me, when I buy a bag, I want it to be something that’s going to last longer than the lifespan of the latest trend. This one is a good mix of trendy, unique, and classic IMO. Also totally perfect for spring/summer!
