Can you believe the year is already halfway over and July 4th is literally next week? I can’t believe it. I seriously love 4th of July. Partially because of the patriotic outfits, fireworks, and good food that’s typically involved. But mainly because it’s a reminder of the freedoms we are so blessed to have. With the holiday right around the corner, I wanted to share some outfit inspiration with you guys to get you in the spirit! I chose one really casual outfit, complete with cutoffs and the cutest sneakers. And then I chose an option that you can dress up if you want!

This striped tee from Madewell is one of my favorite purchases lately. I used to really hate the color red on me, but it’s been growing on me. I’ve paired it with my favorite denim tomgirl shorts and these new slip on sneakers that I’ve had my eye on all season. Honesty time: these shoes are Dr. Scholl’s, y’all. I am not even kidding. I have been looking for a pair of white slip on sneakers for the longest, and every pair that I picked out were Dr. Scholl’s. And I am not ashamed haha! They are SO CUTE and I mean, of course they’re comfortable, they’re Dr. Scholl’s! What’s even better is I found them at DSW for a super affordable price! This bag that you all loved before is now available in white, making it perfect for summertime.
I’ve been trying new things with my hair since I cut it off, including letting it air dry and styling it naturally. It really is so much better for your hair if you can give it a break from the heat every now and then. I also thought this would be the perfect little updo for the 4th, especially if you have plans at the lake or a pool, or outdoors in general, really. It’s so quick and easy! At the bottom of this post, I’ve linked the hair products I used to get the messy, natural look. Just click the images and it will take you right to them!
This time of year, while I do love a good pair of shorts for the extra hot days, I still tend to prefer pants. So when I found these, I was so excited. They are super light weight and comfortable, and in case you couldn’t tell, I am so into stripes right now. These can be dressed up with a pair of heeled sandals or dressed down with your favorite tee and flat sandals. They also come with a tie that you can add at the waist for extra detail. I wear this Henley all. the. time. It is so comfortable, and it goes with so much. You can tuck it, tie it, or leave it as is! While I love all of the USA tees and Americana styles that are out there, I really wanted to choose outfits that you guys could wear more than just a couple times a year.
