HI FRIEND! NEW AROUND HERE? JUST SO YA KNOW, I OFFER AFFORDABLE PERSONAL STYLING AND SHOPPING SERVICES! CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT WHAT I HAVE TO OFFER!
Happy Friday, guys! Kevin and I are leaving for our Colorado vacation today and we are so pumped! I wanted to jump on here and share a packing guide with y’all for the trip! I really wanted to be thoughtful about what I packed because there is a high likelihood that we’ll be stopping at Nordstrom along the way (yep, we’re driving!), not to mention the shopping we’ll do once we actually get there, so I didn’t want to overpack and not have room for new things/souvenirs. Almost everything I packed can be mixed and matched to create multiple outfits. I’m taking 6 tops, 5 bottoms, 4 shoes, 3 layering pieces, 3 dresses, and 3 accessories not including jewelry.
Tops
I chose mostly basic tees and tanks, ones that I tend to wear pretty often, almost all of which I would consider to be part of my minimalist wardrobe that I talked about in a post on Wednesday. Obviously I have a thing for white tops. They’re just so easy to pair with other things and layers are a must for trips to Colorado!
Bottoms
All the denim. You can’t go wrong with denim. I chose jeans and shorts in both blue and black denim, as well as my new denim skirt. I threw in a pair of dressier trousers just in case I felt like mixing it up, but they can also be dressed down for a daytime outfit.
Layering Pieces
This is arguably the most important part of my packing list. The high is currently looking like its going to be in the 70s everyday next week, which means nighttime might be on the chilly side. So I chose my all time favorite grey cardigan, a lightweight duster jacket, and a plaid button down.
Dresses
I didn’t want to take anything too dressy, so I just packed three of my favorite summer dresses that can easily handle a layer at night. These are all super casual and lightweight. Nothing too fussy. I don’t anticipate us going out to too many fancy dinners.
Shoes
I usually go way overboard when it comes to packing shoes, so this time I tried to dial it down. I chose my favorite sandals, slip on sneakers, and a comfy heel just in case. I’m also taking my Adidas sneakers, but I forgot to add those in the below graphic.
Accessories
I just kept it simple here with my favorite easy-to-carry backpack and my brown satchel that goes with literally everything. And of course, I can’t go on vacation without a good hat! It’s a simple way to change the entire look of your outfit.
Below I’ve added some flatlays of a few of the outfits I’ll be wearing with these pieces!

I hope you all have the best weekend and I hope you enjoyed my Colorado packing guide! I likely won’t be adding any new blog posts next week while we are gone, but there will be plenty to see over on my Instagram if you want to follow along. I always try to post daily there! Thanks for stopping by today!
