Quilted Bags
Bags are typically not on any list of my must have accessories because personally I think they’re annoying and way too expensive haha. But this year, I really do love the quilted bags! The quilted design reminds me of fall and winter textures that you would find in a good puffy coat. When it comes to winter and fall fashion, the texture is what gets me every time because of the interest it adds to your outfit. Of course there are some super expensive designer versions of this bag out there, but I found the cutest one at Target for under $30. I use it literally almost every day now.
How I style it
It goes with pretty much anything, so there aren’t really any secrets here! It can be casual or dressy depending on the occasion, so I say wear it with everything!
Felt Panama Hats
No surprise here, felt Panama hats are my jam. I wear this black one with just about everything. I prefer the stiff brim style, just because it looks more put together and chic. This one came from Target too so it’s super affordable + amazing quality for the price. I’ve been seeing ivory and light camel colors in this style hat so those are on the list to buy next!
How I Style It
What I love about a good hat is that they quite literally top off your look. When the weather cools off I tend to stick to sweaters with very little pattern (unless its stripes) so a good hat gives my outfit that elevated look. I love to wear this one with sweaters, dresses, and pretty much anything that feels like it just needs that something extra. It’s also perfect for a bad hair day, just sayin.
Velvet Hair Accessories
I’ve never been much for hair hair accessories like head bands, bows, etc. Mainly because I feel like they either look weird on me or they get uncomfortable after a while. Then I found this little cutie at American Eagle on sale for $2. (Sadly it’s out of stock, but I’ve linked some similar ones for you!) It has a clip on the back, a lot like the ones that used to be on our bows as kids, so all you do is gather your hair, stick it in, and snap it closed. It’s so easy and I barely notice it’s there. Obviously, what I loved most about this one besides the price, is the fact that it’s velvet. So perfect for fall and winter!
How I Style It
Again, these are great for topping off just about any outfit, as well as concealing a bad hair day. I think this little bow would be so cute paired with a casual sweater and jeans or dressed up for a holiday party. If you have long hair, this would be so cute clipped into a high messy bun! Hashtag Pinterest goals. This is definitely one of those accessories that you could have so much fun playing around with for the holidays. Not to mention they’re easy on the bank account + would make great stocking stuffers.
Blanket Scarves
I’m sure you’re thinking you’ve seen this same exact scarf over and over for the last couple of years. Well, that’s because it’s amazing. And you know I’m not big on trendy things. But honestly, what’s not to love about this thing? It’s so warm, you can wear it endless ways, and the colors are to die for this time of year. So, sorry, you’re going to have to see it one more time haha.
How I Style It
In the south, it doesn’t always get cold enough to require scarves, but what I love to do with this one is just drape it around my neck as an addition to a simple, neutral outfit. You get the look without burning up. I think it’s so cute styled that way. But of course, if it’s colder where you live, you can wrap it around like normal or spread it out and wear it like a wrap with a cute belt around the waist. I love this scarf with a wool peacoat in the winter too! If nothing else, take it to work and use it as an actual blanket because lets be real, it seems like office buildings don’t know how to turn the heater on in the dead of winter.
Chunky Knit Beanies
Last but definitely not least is my other all-time favorite fall/winter accessory: The beanie. Especially the ones with the cute lil poms on top. Just ask anyone, if the temperature drops below 55, I’m probably wearing a beanie. Again, on the whole texture topic, I love the chunky knit style. Something about them just screams cold weather and holiday season. This one is the CC brand that has been so popular over the years. It’s super comfy, comes in a ton of colors, and is relatively cheap.
How I Style It
The answer is with EVERYTHING. Inside in my pjs? Probably wearing a beanie. Headed to church in my Sunday best? Most likely wearing a beanie. They are just SO warm, y’all, I can’t help it.

About The Outfit
It’s probably hard to tell from the photos, but this dress is actually the softest thing ever. It’s made of a fuzzy, plush material and I want it in every color. I really love the ribbed trim on the hem and sleeves too! It’s from American Eagle and is under $40. I’m wearing a size small and it fits slightly oversized, which I really like. I’ve paired it with my grey over the knee boots, but would also pair it with a camel boot too. I I would actually style it with any and all of the accessories shown in this post. That’s what I love about a black dress. So many options!
If you’ve been wondering what fall accessories to try this year, I hope this helped you out! Did I leave any out that you would have liked to have seen? Feel free to share your thoughts below. And as always, thanks for spending time with me today! Hope you all have the best weekend.
