Happy Thursday, friends! Hard to believe it’s been one whole week since Thanksgiving. I can’t get over how fast this season is passing by. We’ve been so busy over here with traveling and planning for a short term move in January. On top of that, we’re taking a trip to Universal Studios in a little less than two weeks and we are SO excited. But busy for sure!
Today I just had to take a second to talk about my own personal color of the year + the sweater I can’t stop wearing! So every year, Pantone comes out with their “Color of the Year” and while I usually love the color they pick (this year was ultra violet), I tend to lean towards my own color of the year. Keep reading to find out what my color of the year is and get all the details on this outfit too!
My Personal Color of the Year
Like I said, Pantone always chooses their color of the year. Unintentionally, I kind of do too! There is always one color every year that I typically gravitate towards and I end up with a closet full of it haha. It’s usually in the green or blue families, and this year, it’s no different. This year, my go-to color has been sage! It’s literally all over my house: It’s in the accents in my bedroom and living room, it’s in my Christmas decorations, and even incorporated into my Instagram feed on the regular. Something about the color is just super calming and beautiful to me. Not to mention, it’s a really festive color and perfect for this time of the year! What’s your “color of the year?” I’d love to know in the comments below!

The Sweater I can’t Stop Wearing + About the Outfit
So we know what my color of the year is; now let’s talk about the sweater I can’t stop wearing. Ok, honestly I just want to wear this entire outfit everyday of my life. This sweater is very similar to one I had my eye on at H&M at the beginning of fall, but after seeing it in the store, I thought it was just way too thick and heavy for Little Rock. I’d never get enough use out of it. So while browsing one of my favorite online boutiques one day, I found this beautiful sage sweater that’s almost identical to the one at H&M but not nearly as thick! On top of that, it’s SO affordable. Besides the color, what I love about this sweater is the turtleneck. It’s kind of a loose turtleneck so it doesn’t make me feel constricted or itchy. I love turtlenecks, but I find myself tugging at the neck throughout the day most of the time. Not with this one thought! It’s a boxier fit and slightly cropped so it looks so good with high waist jeans and wide legs! Wearing a size Small in the sweater!
I know you’ve probably seen these jeans before, but I mean, what can I say they’re probably one of the best buys of the year. They’re from American Eagle + I got them for such a great price! I never thought I would be into the wide leg, but these jeans totally changed my mind. They’re comfortable and the best part is I’ll probably wear these year round. I’m wearing a size Medium Regular in these! Last but not least are these adorable black booties. I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of comfortable, pointed toe, leather black booties since like September, and I was being SO picky about it. I finally found these Steve Madden Wester inspired booties at Dillard’s on sale, and they are amazing y’all. So comfortable and easily go with everything in my closet. Im wearing a size 8, which is my normal boot size.
Hope you all have a great rest of your week! You’ve nearly made it to the weekend! As always, thanks for stopping by!
