The Purpose of the Planner
The purpose behind this wardrobe planner is to simply help you get clear on your style while building a wardrobe that you love. Just have fun with it and pace yourself. Use this as a guide to help you declutter, shop, and find pieces that you’ll wear for years to come.

Tips on Shopping with Intention and Owning Your Style
I used to feel like I had to fit a mold when it came to fashion. That I should want to buy all the latest trends, be into all the colors of the rainbow, and wear what others considered to be stylish. The thing is, you create your own version of style. Fashions change, but style is yours to do with what you please, and it’s what makes you feel most like you.

Don’t be afraid to love what you love.
If you find yourself in white tees and denim (like me) on the daily, don’t feel like you should have to throw in a dress at some point during the week. If you prefer neutrals, don’t let someone tell you you should “try wearing more color.” I’ve found that by owning your style, you manage to build a wardrobe that you truly love instead of constantly throwing away or buying more.

Trends come and go.
When you’ve truly found your style, you’ll be less likely to be tempted by the latest trend. Trends aren’t a bad thing, but you should always be striving to work trends into your own personal style, instead of the other way around. If you’re always only buying trendy pieces, you’re sure to feel the need to start all over next season.

Shop my Look
Shop to fill holes in your wardrobe, not to add more clutter.
Before you ever set out on a shopping trip, you should know what you’re going for. Comb through your closet and see what’s lacking. Need a good staple denim jacket to create more outfits? Need more basics for layering? Or maybe you’re just looking to add a new trend into your wardrobe. That’s fine, but just know that going into the store. Or else you’ll leave with a bunch of random things you probably don’t need/will only wear once. My golden rule is to only buy something if I can wear it three different ways.

Most of all, I hope it helps you get clear on your style while also helping you prepare to shop for the beast that is the Nordstrom sale.
