3 Ways to Wear A Sweater Dress
Well guys, it’s officially the most wonderful time of the year! Kevin and I spent the weekend getting our Christmas decorations up inside, and I feel 100x happier already. I know, it’s super early. We usually don’t put them up until my birthday (November 19), but with all of the traveling and family visiting this weekend, it seemed like the best time to get it done. Here in Arkansas the weather went from fall to winter in about 12 hours, and in my opinion, that just makes this season even more fun. It also gives me an excuse to bring out all the warm and cozy things, like my favorite sweaters. So today, I thought I would share 3 ways to wear a sweater dress this winter! Sweater dresses and tunics are among the most versatile items you can have in your closet this time of year. Keep scrolling for a few ideas on how to style them!

Paired with Leggings
One of the easiest ways to wear a sweater dress is to pair it with your favorite leggings or skinnies. This is a great way to stay warm (and also avoid shaving your legs lol) and look chic at the same time, especially if you choose to add a simple heel. I also love this look dressed down with a pair of combat boots or sneaker! So comfy, yet still really cute! You can find this dress at one of my favorite places for buying sweaters this time of year: H&M. They have so many great styles and fabrics to choose from at amazing prices! My faux leather pants (they actually have a button) are from ASOS and they get so much wear this time of year. They’re flattering and super comfy for all-day wear!

Tucked In + Layered With a Jacket
This outfit may be my favorite of the season, so far. I think it looks SO chic, but it’s also really simple to accomplish. You may not have ever thought to tuck a dress into pants, but it’s a really good way to make the piece go even further in your wardrobe. It works best if you’re using a fine knit as opposed to a chunky one, but you can get away with either. For this outfit, I just took the bottom couple of inches of the hem and lightly tucked them into the top of my pants, then folded under the fabric in the back. Then I threw on my go-to denim jacket (you could also choose a leather jacket!) and a pair of heels to dress it up a little.

Paired with Over-the-Knee Boots
Lastly, you can actually wear it as a dress and just throw on your favorite knee-high or over-the-knee boots. This is another super easy, yet stylish option. To be honest, I’m not totally sure if this is meant to be a dress or a tunic, but if you put your arms down and the hem goes past the fingertips, then you’re good haha. Take this look to the next level by adding a layer with a long coat. Pro Tip: make sure your coat is either as long as or slightly longer than the dress for a good balance. I’m so in love with this monochrome look! This is a great outfit option for a holiday office party or family gatherings and photos!
