Before I get to spring at Madewell: It’s been a weird year so far…
I mean, does anybody else just feel WEIRD? Between the Coronavirus and the terribly dreary weather in Arkansas, it has been so hard for me to get back to writing. It just hasn’t felt right, ya know? Like the whole world is suffering and in a state of pure anxiety and fear of the unknown. So maybe it’s just me, but sharing blog posts about shopping the latest season’s trends didn’t really seem…right. Or important. And honestly, it still doesn’t. The thought of frolicking around town taking photos in cute outfits honestly makes me feel icky and kind of shameful. BUT in an attempt to add some normalcy back to my week, I did want to hop on and say hi and share my thoughts about this strange time we’re all living through.
So as some of you probably know, I started a part-time job at Madewell last month. I’m seriously loving it (which I never thought I’d say about a retail job). But with the current state of things, the company has decided to close its doors for the time being. They will continue to pay employees according to average hours worked each week from February, which is such a huge blessing. This company has quickly grown close to my heart because of how giving it is. I want to encourage you to keep shopping, because there are lots of companies out there, big and small, that need our support. Virtually, of course. If the internet was ever going to have its “day” this would surely be it.
Spring at Madewell
Today I’m sharing the best of spring at Madewell, because if there was ever a time to shop, it’s now. They’re offering 25% off your purchase for the next couple of days, so I put together a guide of all of my favorites. Sales like this are rare at Madewell, so I highly encourage you to take advantage + show some love.

I’ve tried on literally everything you see here (ok and I own like half of it), and can personally say it’s all amazing. The pieces I can’t stop wearing include the Beachmont Jacket, the Park Popover Shirt in Rainbow Stripe, and the Perfect Vintage Jean. If you’ve never warn Madewell jeans before, I highly recommend sizing down one size. I typically wear a 25 in most styles, but wear a 26/27 in every other brand. They will feel snug at first, but I promise they relax! Learn more about the different styles here!
I hope you all stay safe and healthy, and even though it’s not ideal, I hope you make the decision to stay home as much as you can *homebodies rejoice*. Even if you’re healthy overall and aren’t worried about getting sick, it’s our job to protect those who may have compromised immune systems. ALSO please stop buying months worth of toilet paper. Stock your pantries with a *reasonable* amount of food, take the time to read that book you’ve been meaning to get to, watch all the movies, call your friends and family, and make the most of this extra free time you’ve been given.
